Importance Placed on Confidence as AJ Dillon Prepares for Year Two

draft by AJ Dillon

Following a rookie year in which Green Bay Packers running back AJ Dillon showcased his strength, explosiveness, and talent, the Boston College alumnus is looking to pick up where he left off going into the 2021-2022 NFL season. Though the Packers have weathered a difficult preseason, the team remains confident going into their week one matchup against the New Orleans Saints.

Green Bay’s running game is anticipated to be powerful in the upcoming season with Dillon now playing a more important role after the Detroit Lions signed running back Jamaal Williams during the off-season. Number 28 will certainly be seeing more field time this season giving the second year player a chance to further showcase his talent.

When asked about his expectations for the season, Dillion shared that his goals “aren’t necessarily tied to statistical achievements.” Instead, Dillon wants to “go out there and play fast.” If his rookie season is any sort of tell, the confidence and speed Dillon is looking to play with in the 2021-2022 will continue to help the talented running back put up impressive numbers.

The Packers will face off against the Saints on Sunday, September 12 at 4:25 PM.
